BMW (Bavarian Motor Works) built its first car in the year 1928. This was twelve years after Rapp Motoren Werke became GmbH of BMW. The company suffered a major setback in the era of the Second World War, as its plant was bombed and turned to ruins. BMW was later banned from the production of vehicles until the year 1948. They later went on to the production of pots, pans and bicycles. They later went into the production of motorcycles. In 2015 BMW was the 12th largest vehicle producer worldwide.
BMW has a plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina and boasts the second largest production of plants worldwide. The plant produces 1400 X3, X4 and X5 SUV’s vehicles a day

It starts regular vehicle maintenance; doing a BMW oil service and a tire rotation. Then we continue with a 29 point inspection and look your car over and make sure it’s safe and reliable.
Some BMWs that need a new battery also require that battery to be coded to the vehicle (and some of the BMW battery installations are tougher because they hide the battery really well!!!). Certain BMWs have two batteries, the main battery and an auxiliary battery.

X Drive

is the all-wheel drive system that BMW uses. XDrive can split the torque and make all of the power go to the front or rear depending on tire slippage detected by the ABS/DSC (anti-lock braking system or Dynamic Stability Control) systems.

VANOS

is BMW’s version of Variable Valve Timing, sometimes called Valvetronic. Valve Timing is adjusted by advancing or retarding the camshaft to make it idle better or at higher RPM advance for power and performance.

Dynamic Stability Control (DSC)

In order to have a DSC system you first have to have ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System) and the DSC works in conjunction with it. The DSC system includes a yaw rate sensor, a steering wheel sensor and a lateral acceleration sensor. This safety equipment can react to and counteract a driving problem quicker than an average person. Sometimes before the driver knows there is an issue.

BMW oil related issues we most commonly see:

Valve Cover Gaskets can sometimes be a problem
Valvetronic gaskets are prone to leak
On some models oil stand gaskets are a common issue
Oil Level Sensor light

BMW Bulb Warning Light comes on if a bulb is out on your vehicle. The electronic system checks the resistance on the lighting system to tell you if a bulb is out or another related issue.
